Policies

Deposit & Payment:

• A 30% deposit of the tour price per person is required via credit card or bank transfer (plus bank charges) upon booking confirmation. If the deposit is less than US$ 500, the full payment is required.

• The remaining balance is due 15 days before check-in, or it can be paid upon arrival in Hanoi (cash or credit card).

• Payments can be made through our secure online payment system (SSL).

Refund & Cancellation:

For FIT bookings only:

• More than 15 days before the check-in date: No charge.

• 10-14 days before check-in: 50% of the total trip cost will be charged.

• 4-9 days before check-in: 70% of the total trip cost will be charged.

• Within 3 days before check-in: 100% of the total trip cost will be charged.

• No-show: 100% of the total trip cost will be charged.

• Cancellations must be sent in writing (email or fax) and confirmed by Vietnam Travel’s cruise specialist.

Child Policy:

• One child under 5 years old stays free when sharing an existing bed with two adults.

• Child rate (5-12 years old):

  • A maximum of one child below 12 years old can share existing bedding with adults. The child pays 75% of the adult rate per person (double occupancy).

  • Two children below 12 years old must stay in a separate cabin, each paying 75% of the adult rate per person (double occupancy).

• Child rates do not apply to the Family Suite Balcony and Family Premium Suite Balcony cabin types.

Extra Bed (Limited Availability):

• Extra bed available on request for all suite categories on Orchid Cruises.

  • Child or Adult Extra Bed: 40% of the cabin rate (double occupancy sharing).

Bad Weather Policy:

In the event of bad weather affecting the cruise, the company reserves the right to cancel all or parts of the cruise. The following charges may apply:

• Before 11:00 AM on cruise day: Full refund for the cruise package (transportation charges may apply).

• No cruise, no overnight, boat stays in harbor:

  • US$ 25 per person (meal only).

  • US$ 25 per person + transportation (round-trip transfer Hanoi – Tuan Chau Marina).

• Day Cruise (3-4 hours):

  • US$ 90 per person (no overnight, lunch on boat).

  • US$ 90 per person + transportation (round-trip transfer Hanoi – Tuan Chau Marina).

• For 3-Day/2-Night Program:

  • Complete 2-day/1-night cruise and return to shore before 10:00 AM on day 2: 2-day/1-night cruise rate + transportation.

  • Complete 2-day/1-night cruise, use day boat, and return by 5:00 PM on day 2: 2-day/1-night cruise rate + US$ 90 per person + transportation.

Other Policies:

• Check-in starts at 12:30 PM; check-out by 11:00 AM.

• Extra guest charges may apply and vary by property policy.

• Advance registration is required with full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number, and visa expiry date for all passengers. A valid passport is required at check-in; failure to present it may result in boarding denial.

• A cash deposit, credit/debit card, and government-issued photo ID are required upon check-in.

• Special requests are subject to availability at check-in and may incur additional charges.

• Surcharge for Christmas Eve (24 Dec), New Year’s Eve (31 Dec), and Vietnamese Lunar New Year’s Day: US$ 40 per adult, US$ 25 per child.

• Promotion or Early Bird bookings have specific conditions that will be communicated separately.
