Policies

Deposit & Payment

• A deposit of 30% of the tour price per person (plus any applicable bank charges) is required upon booking confirmation, payable by credit card or bank transfer.

• If the deposit amount is less than US$500, full payment will be required at the time of booking.

• The remaining balance must be paid 15 days prior to the check-in date, or alternatively, guests may pay in cash or by credit card upon arrival in Hanoi.

• Payments (deposit or full) can be made through our secured SSL online payment system.

Refund & Cancellation

For FIT bookings (up to 6 passengers or 3 cabins):

• More than 21 days before check-in: No cancellation fee.

• 21 to 8 days before check-in: 30% of the total price will be charged.

• 7 to 4 days before check-in: 50% of the total price will be charged.

• Less than 3 days before check-in or No-Show: 100% of the total price will be charged.

Cancellation requests must be sent in writing (email or fax) and confirmed by Vietnam Travel’s cruise specialist.

Child Policy

• One child under 5 years old sharing the existing bed with parents stays free of charge (advance notice required for approval).

• Children from 5 to 12 years old sharing an existing bed pay 25% of the adult rate (based on double occupancy).

• Extra beds (limited availability, upon request) are charged as follows:

  • Child extra bed: 30% of the adult NETT rate per person.

  • Adult extra bed: 70% of the adult NETT rate per person.

Bad Weather Policy

In case of cruise disruption due to bad weather, the following conditions apply:

• Cancellation before 11:00 AM on departure date: Full refund for cruise package (transportation charges apply if used).

• Lunch only (no cruise/overnight, boat stays at harbor): US$40 per person.

• Lunch + round-trip transfer Hanoi – Halong Bay (no cruise/overnight): US$40 per person + transportation cost.

• Day cruise (3–4 hours, no overnight, lunch onboard): US$80 per person.

• Day cruise + round-trip transfer: US$80 per person + transportation cost.

Special for 3-Day/2-Night Cruise (Jewel of Halong Bay):

• Return to shore before 10:00 AM after completing 2D1N: Charge based on 2D1N cruise rate + transportation (if any).

• Return to shore before 5:00 PM: 70% of 3D2N cruise rate charged + transportation (if any).

Other Policies

• Check-in time: from 11:30 AM; check-out time: by 11:00 AM.

• Extra guests may incur additional charges based on property policy.

• Advance passenger registration is required with full personal information: full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number, and visa expiry date. A valid passport must be presented at check-in.

• A cash, credit card, or debit card deposit for incidental charges and a valid photo ID/passport are required at check-in.

• Special requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

• Surcharge for Christmas Eve (24 December) and New Year Eve (31 December):

  • US$50 per adult

  • US$25 per child

• Cruise itineraries are subject to change without prior notice due to weather or tide conditions.

• Promotions and Early Bird bookings have special conditions, which will be communicated separately by Vietnam Travel.
