Policies

Deposit & Payment:

• Upon booking confirmation, a deposit of 30% of the total tour price per person is required via credit card or bank transfer (plus any bank charges). If the amount is under US$ 500, full payment will be requested instead.

• The remaining balance must be settled at least 15 days before the check-in date, or alternatively, can be paid upon arrival in Hanoi in cash or by credit card.

• All payments can be securely processed through our SSL-protected online system.

Cancellation & Refund:
Any change to an existing reservation will be considered a cancellation, and a new booking must be made. Cancellation fees apply according to the schedule below, calculated based on each canceled cabin:

• For bookings of 1–2 cabins:

  • Cancellation more than 5 days before arrival: No charge.

  • Cancellation 2–4 days prior to arrival: 50% charge of total rate.

  • Cancellation less than 2 days before arrival or No-Show: 100% charge.

• For bookings of 3–6 cabins:

  • Cancellation more than 21 days prior to arrival: No charge.

  • Cancellation 14–20 days before arrival: 50% charge.

  • Cancellation 7–13 days before arrival: 70% charge.

  • Cancellation less than 7 days or No-Show: 100% charge.

• For bookings of 7 cabins or more:

  • Cancellation more than 30 days prior: No charge.

  • Cancellation 20–29 days before arrival: 50% charge.

  • Cancellation 10–19 days before arrival: 75% charge.

  • Cancellation less than 10 days or No-Show: 100% charge.

• For full charter bookings:

  • Cancellation more than 60 days before arrival: No charge.

  • Cancellation 45–60 days before arrival: 50% charge.

  • Cancellation 15–44 days before arrival: 75% charge.

  • Cancellation less than 15 days or No-Show: 100% charge.

Note: All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or fax and confirmed by Vietnam Travel’s cruise specialist.

Child Policy:

• One child under 5 years old stays free of charge when sharing a cabin with two adults (no extra mattress provided).

• For children aged 5–12 years sharing a cabin with two adults (without extra mattress), a child rate applies.

• Only one free child under 5 years old is allowed per group.

Extra Mattress/ Baby Cot Policy:

• Maximum one extra bed or baby cot allowed per cabin.

• Rates for extra beds:

  • 2 days 1 night cruise: US$ 25/bed.

  • 3 days 2 nights cruise: US$ 50/bed.

• Children under 5 years stay free if sharing the existing bedding with parents.

Bad Weather Policy:
If weather conditions prevent safe sailing, the cruise company reserves the right to cancel or modify services. Charges are applied as follows:

• Guests having lunch only onboard (no cruising):

  • US$ 35 per person, including room services, lunch, and a drink (one mineral water + one soft drink).

• Guests having lunch and a 4–5 hour bay cruise:

  • US$ 70 per person, including entrance fees, room services, lunch, and drinks.

• For 3D2N programs shortened due to weather:

  • Return by noon: Charged as a 2D1N cruise.

  • Return after lunch: 2D1N rate + US$ 35/person.

  • Return late afternoon (5–6 PM): 75% of the 3D2N cruise rate.

Other Policies:

• Check-in: From 12:30 PM. Check-out: By 11:00 AM.

• Extra guest charges may apply based on the property’s policy.

• All guests must provide full personal details (name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number, visa expiry date) for advance registration. A valid passport is mandatory at check-in; failure to comply may result in denied boarding by the port authority.

• A cash deposit, credit card, or debit card along with government-issued photo ID is required at check-in for incidental charges.

• Special requests are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

• Surcharge for Christmas Eve (24 December), New Year’s Eve (31 December), and Lunar New Year: US$ 40 per adult, US$ 15 per child.

• Promotions or Early Bird offers are subject to strict terms and conditions, which will be communicated separately by Vietnam Travel.
